About this product

Vibrant. Flavorful. The heart and soul of Abruzzo in every glass.
In Abruzzo, rosé is more than a summer wine — it’s a tradition, and Baldovino is Tenuta I Fauri’s heartfelt expression of that legacy. Crafted organically from Montepulciano grapes grown on the breezy hillsides near Francavilla al Mare, this Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo bridges the freshness of a rosé with the depth of a red, creating something truly unique to its homeland.

Its radiant cherry-pink hue immediately draws the eye, while aromas of wild strawberries, cherries, rose petals, and a whisper of spice rise from the glass. The palate is supple and mouthwatering, filled with juicy red fruit, a touch of minerality, and a lively finish that lingers with gentle warmth. It’s both refreshing and substantial — the perfect reflection of Abruzzo’s sunny coast and rustic hills.

For Irish tables, Baldovino brings the essence of Italian conviviality. Serve it chilled with grilled seafood, pasta with tomato sauce, charcuterie, or even lightly spiced dishes. It’s a rosé that feels joyful and grounded, ideal for relaxed dinners or afternoons spent with friends.

Why we love it:
We love Baldovino because it shows what Abruzzo does best — authenticity, generosity, and flair. This Cerasuolo is vibrant yet refined, full of fruit but never heavy. It brings a taste of Italian summer to Ireland, one glass at a time, with every sip radiating warmth and charm.

Tenuta I Fauri is a family-run winery nestled in Abruzzo’s Colline Teatine hills, managing about 28 ha across six communes. Since becoming certified organic in 2021, they’ve focused exclusively on indigenous grapes—Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Pecorino, and Passerina—prized for purity and place-driven character. Their wines are fermented with native yeasts in steel and cement tanks to preserve authenticity and freshness.
