A spiral of Italian tradition. Perfectly textured, wonderfully versatile.
Few pasta shapes are as effortlessly versatile as Fusilli. With their distinctive spirals and beautifully twisted shape, they are designed to capture and hold sauces, turning even the simplest ingredients into a satisfying Italian meal. Rummo takes this familiar favourite and elevates it through generations of pasta-making expertise and its distinctive Lenta Lavorazione production method.
Made from carefully selected durum wheat semolina, Rummo Fusilli is produced using traditional bronze dies, giving each spiral its characteristic rough, porous surface. This is more than an aesthetic detail: that beautifully textured exterior helps sauces cling to the pasta rather than simply slide away, ensuring every forkful delivers a little more flavour.
What truly sets Rummo apart, however, is its attention to the cooking process. The brand's Lenta Lavorazione method combines carefully controlled processing with slow, low-temperature drying, preserving the qualities of the selected wheat and producing pasta with excellent cooking performance. The result is a firm, satisfying bite, a pleasant wheat character and an impressive ability to retain its shape and texture when cooked.
And then there are those wonderful spirals. Their curves and grooves make Fusilli particularly rewarding with rich tomato sauces, creamy preparations, pesto and vegetable-based recipes. They embrace every ingredient, collecting little pockets of sauce and seasoning that make each mouthful deliciously complete.
Whether tossed with a traditional Italian tomato sauce, dressed with fresh basil pesto, combined with seasonal vegetables or transformed into a generous pasta salad, Rummo Fusilli brings reliability and character to the table. It is the kind of everyday essential that reminds us why good pasta makes such a difference: simple ingredients, thoughtful craftsmanship and the pleasure of a perfectly cooked plate of Italy brought to every table in Ireland.
Why we love it:
Because great pasta should be about more than just the sauce. Rummo Fusilli combines a wonderfully firm bite with a rough, sauce-catching surface and excellent cooking consistency. Its distinctive spirals make it incredibly versatile, while the quality of the durum wheat and Rummo's careful production method deliver the kind of texture that makes you appreciate every forkful. A dependable Italian classic, equally at home in a quick weekday dinner or a lovingly prepared Sunday meal.

A wonderfully versatile pasta that brings a little Italian authenticity to everyday cooking, whatever is on the menu.
Founded in Benevento in 1846, Rummo is one of Italy's established pasta-making names, built on a long-standing commitment to quality and the art of traditional pasta production.
At the heart of its philosophy is Lenta Lavorazione, a carefully developed production method that places particular importance on the selection of durum wheat semolina, processing and drying. Combined with bronze-die extrusion, this approach gives Rummo pasta its characteristic rough surface and excellent cooking performance.
For generations, Rummo has pursued a simple ambition: making pasta that does justice to the Italian table. Its Fusilli No. 48 is a wonderful example of that philosophy — familiar, versatile and crafted with the attention to detail that makes a real difference.
