Magretto is a bold, characterful red wine made from 100% Centèsimino, a rare native grape from Romagna once on the verge of extinction. Thanks to passionate winemakers like Randi Vini, it’s now celebrated for its unmistakable aromatic profile and structural finesse.

Organically grown in the sandy-clay soils of Fusignano and vinified with minimal intervention, Magretto is fermented in stainless steel and aged in inert wood barrels to preserve its vibrant fruit and distinctive spice. The result is a wine that’s both rustic and refined — loaded with crunchy red and black fruits, fresh herbs, peppery spice, and a refreshing lift that keeps every sip lively.

This is not a big, oaky red. It’s a regional expression rooted in authenticity — leaner, more vertical, with grit, elegance, and energy. Clear, brilliant ruby red.

Nose
A fragrant medley of blackberry, raspberry, and blueberry layered with rosehip jam, balsamic herbs, wild fennel, white pepper, cinnamon, and star anise.

Palate
Crisp and juicy with fine, firm tannins and bright acidity. The fruit is concentrated yet fresh, the spice persistent, and the finish savoury and dry — a wine with tension and vibrancy.

Magretto’s structured frame and aromatic intensity make it a versatile companion for:

  • Cured meats like finocchiona, coppa, and prosciutto
  • Rustic pork roasts, game birds, or duck with herbs
  • Wild mushroom or truffle risotto
  • Larded or grilled eel, swordfish, or rich seafood
  • Eggplant parmigiana, lentil stews, or grilled root vegetables

It’s an excellent table wine — expressive and assertive, but never overwhelming.
