About this product

Profound. Age-worthy. Romagna's flagship red, redefined.
From the rolling hills of Ravenna, the fully organic Randi estate crafts Burson Ravenna Rosso Selezione as a crowning expression of their terroir. Made 100% from Longanesi grapes, this top-tier red benefits from 24 months of careful ageing in fine oak, allowing structure, depth, and aromatic elegance to emerge fully. Each bottle reflects meticulous vineyard management, patience, and a deep respect for the character of Emilia-Romagna.

In the glass, Burson shows a deep garnet-red hue, hinting at its concentration and power. The nose opens with intense aromas of black cherries, plums, dried herbs, leather, and subtle spicy notes, with a whisper of oak and mineral complexity. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied yet refined: layered dark fruit, silky tannins, and a mineral lift provide both depth and poise. The long oak ageing integrates seamlessly, giving a lingering, elegant finish that rewards slow enjoyment.

This is a wine to savor with special dishes: aged meats, slow-roasted game, rich pasta, or mature cheeses. On Irish tables, it brings sophistication, balance, and a true sense of place, embodying the best of Randi’s dedication to Longanesi and organic winemaking.

Why we love it:
We love Burson for its harmony of power and elegance. The richness of Longanesi fruit, perfectly integrated tannins, and complex aromatic layers make it a wine to contemplate and enjoy. It’s a wine that elevates any meal or gathering, carrying the essence of Ravenna’s hills and the Randi estate’s meticulous craftsmanship straight to Irish tables.

Randi Vini, a family-run organic estate in Fusignano, is at the forefront of Romagna’s indigenous grape renaissance. Their work with Longanesi (aka Burson) has made them a benchmark for the variety. The Riserva “Etichetta Nera” is their flagship — produced only in exceptional vintages and in limited quantities.
