From the sun-kissed hills of Ravenna, Randi’s fully organic estate crafts Burson Ravenna Rosso as a vibrant, approachable expression of Longanesi. While slightly more youthful and immediate than the top-tier Selezione, this wine still captures the charm and character of the region, offering richness, structure, and aromatic depth. The clay-limestone soils and Adriatic breezes allow the grapes to develop a bright fruit profile with balanced acidity and smooth tannins.
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby hue, releasing aromas of red cherries, ripe raspberries, and hints of Mediterranean herbs and soft spice. On the palate, the wine is lively yet harmonious: juicy red fruit is supported by gentle tannins, a touch of mineral lift, and a smooth, lingering finish. The ageing—shorter than the Selezione—keeps it fresh and approachable, making it ideal for immediate enjoyment.
Burson pairs beautifully with pasta dishes, roasted vegetables, grilled meats, or simply savored on its own with friends. On Irish tables, it brings the warmth and authenticity of Ravenna’s hills, offering elegance, vibrancy, and easy drinkability.

Nose
Juicy ripe plums and cherries, balanced by spicy violet florals, menthol hints, balsamic undercurrents, and a faint iodine twist.
Palate
Energetic and direct, with crunchy red fruit, vibrant acidity, firm yet fine tannins, and a lingering, slightly bittersweet finish. Harmonious, with a long, clean finish.

Randi Vini, in Fusignano near Ravenna, is a family-run, organic-certified winery dedicated to reviving rare local varieties. Their 8-hectare Longanesi vineyard dates from 1998–2002 and yields expressive fruit with true character.
