A whiskey with a punch. Bold cask finish. A one-of-a-kind release.
Prizefight Irish Whiskey was born from a daring idea — to unite the time-honoured traditions of Irish distilling with the bold innovation of American whiskey craftsmanship. This small-batch collaboration between Ireland and the United States produced a whiskey unlike any other, one that quickly earned a cult following before quietly bowing out of production.
Distilled and aged in Ireland, Prizefight was finished in American rye casks from Maine — a nod to the shared heritage of whiskey-making across the Atlantic. The result was an incredibly aromatic, spicy, and layered whiskey, where Irish smoothness met American grit in perfect balance. Notes of green apple, pear, honey, and vanilla danced alongside bold rye spice, black pepper, and subtle oak, creating a vibrant and modern Irish whiskey that never forgot its roots.
Each bottle told the story of two worlds colliding: the rolling green fields of Ireland and the rugged forests of the U.S. Northeast. The name Prizefight itself paid homage to the fighting spirit of Irish immigrants who brought their whiskey traditions across the ocean, blending resilience, ambition, and pride into every glass.
Though now discontinued, Prizefight remains a beloved collectible — a whiskey that captured a rare moment in Irish distilling history, when collaboration and creativity redefined what Irish whiskey could be.
Why we love it:
Prizefight was a whiskey that broke the mould. We love it for its courage to experiment — for marrying Irish pot still smoothness with the fiery spice of American rye casks. It carried the heart of Ireland with a distinctly adventurous twist, offering something truly unique to whiskey lovers in Ireland and beyond. Its legacy lives on as one of the most original Irish-American collaborations ever bottled.

Prizefight was a bold partnership between West Cork Distillery in Ireland and Tamworth Distilling in the US. Inspired by the fighting spirit of Irish immigrants turned American boxing legends, it reimagined Irish whiskey with a cask finish never seen before on the Irish market. While short-lived, it left a lasting impression.
