About this product

The Everyday Italian Classic, Reimagined.
On the sun-warmed slopes of Predappio, where ochre-coloured clay soils meet the cool whispers of Adriatic breezes, the vines of the fully organic estate of Noelia Ricci stand proudly. Il Sangiovese emerges from this land with an easy-going charm: it’s the grape of legends, re-imagined here as a vibrant, drinkable delight for Irish tables.

In the glass it presents a bright ruby hue that catches the light, hinting at the freshness within. The nose opens with red cherries, raspberries and a flourish of rose petals, soon joined by a subtle spice and a touch of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is lively and engaging — juicy red fruit meets quiet savoury tension, gentle tannins give texture without weight, and the finish brings clarity and finesse. The organically farmed vineyards, spontaneous fermentation, and thoughtful ageing (70% in steel, 30% in cement for eight months) all ensure the wine retains its honesty and purity.

This Sangiovese is at ease with food yet never loses its personality. Whether paired with rich ragù pasta, grilled lamb, or shared among friends on a warm Irish evening, it brings the sunlit hills of Romagna into your glass and your gathering.

Why we love it:
In Ireland, many associate Sangiovese with the richer styles of Tuscany, but Il Sangiovese offers a lighter, more playful approach. It’s vibrant, full of red fruit, and designed for generous pours at long, relaxed meals. This is the bottle you want when friends drop by unexpectedly — a wine that makes every table feel welcoming.
