About this product

Bold. Complex. A noble Amarone with modern poise.
Conte Gastone is the flagship Amarone from Massimago, a wine that pays homage to the elegance of the Valpolicella terroir while embracing a refined, contemporary spirit. Born in the hillside vineyards of Mezzane di Sotto, this powerful red is crafted from hand-harvested Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes that undergo traditional appassimento (drying) for concentrated richness.

Aged in a mix of large oak barrels and barriques for over two years, the result is a wine of profound structure and elegance — lush, velvety, and brimming with ripe dark fruit, exotic spice, cocoa, and savoury depth. Full-bodied yet beautifully balanced, Conte Gastone is a commanding Amarone that impresses with both power and finesse.

Why we love it:
A benchmark Amarone with character. Conte Gastone shows why Massimago is considered one of the new stars of Valpolicella — combining power and polish in every sip. Rich yet lifted, it's a wine that reveals new layers with each glass. A stunning bottle for collectors, Amarone lovers, and those seeking a wine with presence.
