Grand. Sculpted. A white Burgundy of purity and power.
Among the rolling limestone slopes of Chablis lies a vineyard whispered about with reverence: Blanchot, one of the region’s most prized Grand Cru sites. Here, the vines cling to steep, sunlit hillsides, their roots digging deep into ancient Kimmeridgian limestone, absorbing the essence of the land. From this hallowed ground comes Louis Jadot’s Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot — a wine that embodies purity, grace, and quiet power.
In the glass, it glows pale gold, a promise of depth within. The bouquet is refined and layered: citrus blossom, white peach, and green apple unfold first, followed by subtle notes of chalk, seashell, and a whisper of almond. On the palate, it is precise yet expansive — the cool minerality of Chablis given richness by the vineyard’s unique exposition, where the morning sun coaxes delicacy and finesse. The finish is crystalline, long, and hauntingly elegant, lingering like a memory you want to hold onto.
This is Chablis at its highest expression — not a wine for hurried occasions but one to savour, to mark moments, and to share with those who appreciate Burgundy’s finest treasures. In Ireland, where connoisseurs are increasingly drawn to Grand Cru whites, this wine feels like a jewel waiting to be discovered.
Why we love it:
This is Chardonnay at its most sophisticated—refined, mineral, and enduring. For those who seek something beyond the obvious, Blanchot delivers a symphony of tension, texture, and terroir that grows with each sip. A wine to mark milestones, elevate gastronomy, and reward patience.

Chablis AOC

- Chardonnay

Colour
Brilliant pale gold with silvery glints and a touch of green—youthful and vibrant in the glass.
Nose
Aromatic layers of white flowers, lemon peel, honeysuckle, crushed oyster shell, and a whisper of vanilla and flint. As it opens, deeper notes of golden apple, hazelnut, and toasted brioche emerge.
Palate
Concentrated yet poised. The mouthfeel is textured and round, with vibrant acidity lifting flavours of citrus, white stone fruit, chalky minerality, and fine oak integration. Creamy mid-palate depth is balanced by racy tension and a persistent saline finish. A wine of structure, elegance, and exceptional terroir transparency.

Blanchot is a wine for the finest table. Pair with:
- Native Irish oysters, langoustines, or lobster thermidor
- Roast turbot or monkfish with beurre blanc and fennel
- Chicken supreme with morel cream sauce
- Pasta with white truffle or celeriac purée
- Hard cheeses such as aged Comté, Gruyère, or a delicate Brillat-Savarin
Its layered texture and vibrant acidity make it the ultimate partner for richly flavoured dishes that call for structure and elegance.
