About this product

Elegant. Luminous. A rosé born of clay and tradition.
From the vineyards of La Lupinella, perched on the clay‑rich hills of Montespertoli near Vinci, Rosa is a sublime expression of Sangiovese rosato. Crafted with artisan care by winemaker Manuela Marzi and owner Marco Bitossi—descendants of ceramic artisans—the wine blends history and terroir through authentic techniques including partial amphora fermentation and organic hillside farming.

The result is a delicate, pale salmon-pink wine with a whisper of texture from terracotta and a vibrant expression of fresh fruit and uplifting acidity. It is Tuscany’s clay-born poetry—pure, lively, and graciously persistent.

Why we love it:
Rosa is a rosé that transcends seasonal norms. Its crisp, textural interplay of clay and fruit, combined with elegant structure and organic purity, makes it a delightful wine for sipping anytime. It offers both Tuscan authenticity and universal charm—true to its roots, yet refreshingly modern.

Short passage in amphorae, followed by 2 months in used barrels and 3 months in concrete tank.

Founded in 1977 by Vittoriano Bitossi, La Lupinella is an artisanal Tuscan estate rooted in ceramic and vine. With certified organic vineyards planted midway between Montespertoli and Sant’Ansano, the winery emphasizes sustainability, site specificity, and indigenous traditions—using clay amphorae, cement tanks, and old-oak vessels to reflect both vine and land.
Led today by Marco Bitossi and winemaker Manuela Marzi, La Lupinella creates wines that are both expressive and elegant—anchored in terroir, inspired by heritage.
