Luminous. Textural. A spirited organic white from historic clay soils.
From the boutique Tuscan estate La Lupinella, nestled in the Montalbano Hills of Vinci—Leonardo da Vinci’s birthplace—this white wine stands out for its purity and elegance. Crafted entirely from organic Trebbiano grapes grown on clay-rich hillside vineyards, Bianca reflects both place and heritage with authentic artisan appeal.
The must and a small percentage of clusters are gently fermented in terracotta amphorae to capture aromatic intensity. The remainder undergoes fermentation in stainless steel. The outcome is fresh, vibrant, and balanced—a transparent canvas of orchard fruit and mineral tartness that speaks of Tuscany’s limestone-clay terroir.
Why we love it:
La Lupinella Bianca is a refreshing statement of terroir and technique. Its liveliness, mineral clarity, and gentle texture make it ideal for those seeking an authentic Tuscan white—not Chardonnay or Sauvignon, but something truly regional and vibrant.

Founded in 1977 by Vittoriano Bitossi—descendant of a renowned ceramics family—the estate revives Tuscan viticulture with respect for its wild, clay-rich terroir.
Today, La Lupinella is led by owner Marco Bitossi and winemaker Manuela Marzi, a fifth-generation viticulturalist. Certified organic and positioned for biodynamic conversion, the winery blends modern assembly with ancient techniques—including clay amphorae—to tell a story of tradition, place, and craft.
