About this product

A story in every sip. Rooted in Spain’s ancient soils, matured with care.
High in the rugged hills of Aragón, where the Iberian sun meets rocky clay and slate, a quiet story unfolds in the vineyards of Paniza. Here, winemakers don’t chase trends—they honour time, land, and legacy. Íbero de Paniza I is their ode to history: a Crianza red that captures the warmth of tradition and the freshness of altitude.

Blending Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha Tinta, and Tempranillo, this wine is born from vines perched at 700 metres above sea level, where cool nights preserve freshness and the soils impart minerality and depth. Aged gently in American oak, it emerges with a gentle strength—layered, fragrant, and deeply satisfying.

It’s the kind of wine that tells a story as it opens: from ripe red fruit and warming spice to soft leather and toasted wood. Rich without heaviness, structured yet smooth, it’s built for sharing, for pairing, for remembering.

Why we love it:
This is Spanish Crianza at its most generous: bold yet balanced, familiar yet full of story. A wine to pour when you want comfort, conversation, and just the right amount of oak-wrapped elegance.

Bodegas Paniza has stood at the heart of the Cariñena region for more than 60 years. As one of Spain’s most important high-altitude cooperatives, their philosophy is rooted in respect—for the land, the grape, and the people who tend it. Íbero is their tribute to that heritage: expressive, age-worthy wines that showcase the beauty of elevation and the soul of Spain.
