About this product

A Tribute to the Founder, the Pinnacle of Pecorino.
At the very top of Cocci Grifoni’s Pecorino range stands Guido Cocci Grifoni, a wine created in honour of the estate’s founder, who dedicated his life to reviving native grapes in the Marche. This flagship expression captures the full potential of Pecorino: richness, elegance, and a sense of place that speaks directly of its hillside origins overlooking the Adriatic.

Every element is crafted with meticulous care – from low-yielding vineyards to selective harvesting – resulting in a wine of remarkable depth, complexity, and finesse. For Irish wine lovers, this is the opportunity to experience Pecorino as it was meant to be: structured, layered, and capable of ageing gracefully.

Why we love it:
We love this wine because it shows Pecorino at its most complete – vibrant citrus and stone fruit meet savoury herbs, minerality, and a refined texture. It is both powerful and elegant, a benchmark Italian white that can elevate any fine dining occasion.

Founded in 1933, Tenuta Cocci Grifoni has been a pioneer in protecting and promoting native Marche grapes. Guido Cocci Grifoni himself played a key role in the revival of Pecorino in the 1970s, and this wine – bearing his name – is the estate’s ultimate tribute to his vision. Today, it stands as one of the finest Pecorino expressions available in Ireland, bringing history, craftsmanship, and prestige to the glass.
