Fresh. Floral. Volcanic purity.
The Giovinco Grillo is a celebration of light — the dazzling Mediterranean sun reflected in every golden drop. Made organically in the heart of Sicily, this wine embodies the island’s timeless connection to nature, sea, and sky. From coastal breezes to volcanic soils, every element works in harmony to give Grillo its distinctive freshness and vibrant soul.
The Giovinco family tends their vineyards with quiet dedication, nurturing each vine without chemicals or shortcuts. Their philosophy is simple: to let the land speak. And it does — through a wine that feels alive, layered, and deeply authentic.
In the glass, Giovinco Grillo shimmers pale straw with hints of green. The nose opens with citrus blossoms, white peach, and ripe melon, evolving into subtle mineral and saline notes reminiscent of the Sicilian coast. On the palate, it’s crisp yet textured, with refreshing acidity balanced by soft tropical fruit and a hint of almond on the finish.
This Grillo is more than a refreshing white — it’s a taste of the island itself. For those in Ireland dreaming of Mediterranean warmth, it’s a perfect reminder that sunshine can indeed come in a bottle.
Why we love it:Sgarretta Grillo is a superb balance of bright aromatics and savoury-driven minerality. It’s fresh yet textured, vibrant yet grounded — an ideal everyday white that carries Sicilian authenticity with poise and flair.
