Mineral. Elegant. Volcanic purity.
The Giovinco Etna Bianco is a wine of luminous elegance, shaped by the elemental forces of Mount Etna. High on the volcano’s eastern slopes, ancient vines of Carricante and Catarratto cling to black volcanic soils that shimmer with minerals and ash. Here, the mountain’s breath cools the grapes by night, the Mediterranean sun ripens them by day — and the result is a wine that feels both powerful and serene.
Giovinco’s organic approach allows the land to speak with clarity. Each grape is hand-harvested and gently pressed, preserving the delicate aromas and precise minerality that define Etna’s whites. The Carricante lends tension and citrus purity, while Catarratto adds texture, floral tones, and a touch of richness. Together, they create a white that reflects Sicily’s most noble terroir: crisp, salty, and endlessly intriguing.
In the glass, Etna Bianco gleams pale gold with hints of green. The bouquet recalls lemon blossom, white peach, almond, and wet stone — a harmony of mountain freshness and sea breeze. On the palate, it’s layered and vibrant, offering mouthwatering acidity, a gentle savoury depth, and a finish that lingers like a distant echo of the sea.
For those in Ireland who appreciate wines with both freshness and soul, Giovinco Etna Bianco offers a taste of volcanic brilliance — elegant, honest, and unmistakably Sicilian.
Why we love it:Giovinco Etna Bianco is a vivid expression of Etna terroir — vibrant, mineral, and alive with flinty energy. It’s a standout Sicilian white offering both everyday appeal and food-worthy complexity.
