About this product

Lush. Tropical. Unmistakably Filipino.
From the sugarcane fields of Negros Island — the “Sugarlandia” of the Philippines — comes Don Papa Baroko, a rich and vibrant small-batch rum bursting with exotic character. This bold expression is a tribute to the island’s lush abundance and rebellious spirit, inspired by the legend of Papa Isio — a freedom fighter turned folk hero.

Crafted from locally grown sugarcane and aged in American oak barrels at the foot of Mount Kanlaon, Baroko delivers a flavourful fusion of vanilla, candied fruit, and warm spice, with a round, velvety texture that invites you back for more. Slightly sweeter than the original Don Papa 7, it’s a rum that charms both newcomers and seasoned drinkers alike.

Why we love it:
Don Papa Baroko is a tropical daydream in a bottle. With its vibrant label and equally expressive liquid, it brings warmth and indulgence to every sip — whether neat, on ice, or mixed into a luxurious rum cocktail.

Don Papa Rum is distilled on Negros Island, known locally as Sugarlandia, the heart of the Philippines’ centuries-old sugarcane heritage. The brand takes its name from Papa Isio, a charismatic foreman turned revolutionary leader, symbolising both the island’s rich natural bounty and indomitable spirit.
