About this product

Rich. Polished. A timeless Rhône expression.
From the heart of the southern Rhône Valley, Domaine Barville delivers a classic yet elevated expression of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Owned and managed by the renowned Brotte family, this 15-hectare estate lies on the western slopes of the appellation, where galets roulés (large round pebbles), red clay, and fractured limestone give the wine its distinctive power, poise, and aromatic complexity.

Crafted primarily from Grenache, with portions of Syrah and Mourvèdre, this cuvée is the result of meticulous parcel selection, sustainable viticulture, and traditional winemaking adapted for elegance. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled vats with a long maceration to extract the full spectrum of fruit and spice, followed by ageing in a combination of French oak barrels and concrete vats to preserve both texture and freshness.

The result is a wine that is at once generous and graceful, offering layers of ripe fruit, garrigue, subtle oak, and velvety tannins. A perfect match for sophisticated meals or simply a quiet evening by the fire.

Why we love it:
This is Châteauneuf-du-Pape in its purest, most polished form—no excess, just balance. Domaine Barville captures everything we admire in the region: sun-drenched fruit, savoury spice, and layered complexity, all delivered with a light touch. A cellar-worthy red that’s equally at home on a special occasion table.
