Floral. Bittersweet. A beautifully modern Italian aperitivo.
Cocchi Americano Rosa is a vibrant and elegant expression of Italy's aperitivo tradition, combining the unmistakable character of Cocchi's historic Americano recipe with the fragrant personality of red fruits and aromatic botanicals. Introduced as a contemporary counterpart to the iconic Bianco, it remains firmly rooted in the house's century-old craftsmanship while offering a brighter, fruitier interpretation that is as enjoyable on its own as it is in sophisticated cocktails.
Produced in Asti by Cocchi, Americano Rosa begins with a base of carefully selected Italian wines, infused with an intricate blend of botanicals, citrus peels, spices, and floral extracts. Alongside the classic notes of gentian and cinchona that define the Americano style, Cocchi introduces delicate red fruits and rose petals, creating an aperitif that feels wonderfully fresh, aromatic, and unmistakably Mediterranean.
The result is a drink that bridges the gap between traditional bitter aperitifs and elegant aromatised wines. Rather than relying on sweetness alone, Americano Rosa balances ripe fruit with refreshing acidity and a refined bittersweet finish, making it incredibly versatile whether served before dinner or mixed into creative cocktails.
In the glass, it displays a delicate rose-pink colour with soft coral reflections. The bouquet is wonderfully expressive, opening with aromas of wild strawberries, pink grapefruit, rose petals, blood orange, raspberry, and white flowers, supported by subtle herbal notes and delicate spice. Every swirl reveals another layer of fragrance, making it every bit as inviting as it is beautiful.
The palate is lively and beautifully balanced. Juicy red berries and citrus sit alongside gentle floral notes before the classic quinine and gentian bitters emerge, providing structure and freshness without overpowering the fruit. The finish is long, crisp, and elegantly bittersweet, leaving lingering notes of pink grapefruit, herbs, and delicate spice.
For aperitivo enthusiasts in Ireland, Cocchi Americano Rosa offers something refreshingly different. It is perfect for those who enjoy lighter, aromatic aperitifs with genuine complexity, bringing together the elegance of Italian tradition with a contemporary twist that suits modern tastes and effortless entertaining.
Why we love it:
Americano Rosa feels like summer in a glass. Bright citrus, delicate berries, floral elegance, and gentle bitterness come together in perfect harmony, creating an aperitif that's every bit as sophisticated as the classic Bianco while offering a fresh, contemporary personality. It's equally impressive served simply over ice or transformed into an elegant cocktail.
