Crystalgold Fashioned
- 50ml Chivas Regal Crystalgold
- 10ml sugar syrup
- 2 dashes aromatic bitters
- Orange peel
- Large ice cube
Add Crystalgold, sugar syrup and bitters to a mixing glass filled with ice. Stir until chilled and strain over a large cube. Express an orange peel over the drink and drop it in.
It looks like a classic clear-spirit cocktail, but the first sip reveals the unexpected richness of the oak-aged Chivas spirit underneath.

About the producer
Chivas Regal is one of Scotland's best-known blended Scotch houses, with its story rooted in the Chivas Brothers tradition of blending and maturation. Today, Master Blender Sandy Hyslop leads the blending team and Crystalgold represents one of the most experimental expressions in the modern Chivas portfolio. Rather than simply creating another variation on a traditional Scotch, the team spent years developing a filtration process capable of removing the spirit's colour while retaining its flavour — turning a familiar style of Scotch craftsmanship into something visually and conceptually very different.
