About this product

Majestic. Volcanic. A noble red tribute to legacy and terroir.
Born from a blend of 70% Piedirosso and 30% Aglianico, Don Vincenzo is Casa Setaro’s flagship Riserva, lovingly named for patriarch Vincenzo Setaro. This layered and finely-structured wine reflects the volcanic energy of Vesuvius and generations of winemaking wisdom—evoking mountain herbs, ripe berry, salinity, and cedar—all unified in a bold, elegant frame that honours both place and legacy.

Why we love it:
Don Vincenzo is a rare offering from Vesuvius—a Riserva that marries volcanic strength with elegance. It honours family roots while charting a path forward for the region, delivering a layered wine with both power and refinement.

At the core of Casa Setaro is a deep-rooted connection to the slopes of Vesuvius. Since 2004, Massimo and Maria Rosaria Setaro have preserved their family’s viticultural legacy—working ungrafted, ancient vines on lava-strewn soils and biodiverse hillside vineyards within the National Park.
Their mission is to celebrate Campania’s indigenous varietals with organic farming, minimal intervention, and a focus on terroir. The result is a portfolio of soulful, mineral-driven wines—from sparkling Caprettone to Piedirosso, Falanghina, and this esteemed heritage red, Don Vincenzo.
