La Casa Rossa "Giulezio" Chianti Riserva Colli Senesi DOCG

"Giulezio" is made with 100% organic Sangiovese grapes and features fruity notes with hints of undergrowth at the nose, followed by a warm and powerful sensation in the mouth, with gentle tannins. A complex wine with great personality.

Despite the Casa Rossa being in an area suitable for the growth of white wines, it is also bordering the Chianti Classico area. After a long search the winery purchased a parcel of Sangiovese and Canaiolo planted in the late 1950s. "Giulezio" is made from a selection of just one or two bunches per vine, left for further ripening.

"Giulezio" is aged for 30 months in barrique, followed by a further refining in bottle for at least 6 months.

All wines produced by La Casa Rossa are organic.
