“Someone else’s vineyard” — purity distilled in steel.
In the rugged, granite‑strewn hills of Gallura, Capichera’s Vign’Angena traces its roots back to 1994, when Vermentino grapes were sourced from neighbouring vineyards—hence its name in the Gallurese dialect, meaning “someone else’s vineyard”. This wine evolved alongside the estate, eventually moving to vineyards now fully owned by the Ragnedda family—but it has retained its essence: a pristine, uncompromising expression of Vermentino, fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel.
From the moment you pour it, Vign’Angena reveals its pale straw‑yellow hue with green highlights, glinting like sun‑washed sea glass. Aromas unfold in layers: orange blossom, hawthorn, broom and iris meet yellow apple and mineral whispers, evoking a wild Mediterranean landscape kissed by sea air . On the palate it delivers vivid freshness, full yet refined fruit, zesty acidity and a long, mineral‑driven finish that feels both alive and elegant.
Why we love it:
Vign’Angena is a masterclass in Vermentino’s potential: evocative yet pure, floral yet structured, and powered by mineral clarity. It transports you to Sardinia’s coastline—sun, sea breeze, and granite all bundled into a glass. Perfect when you’re seeking freshness, elegance, and that distinctive Mediterranean soul.
