About this product

Sun-ripened. Bold. A vibrant expression of Sicilian warmth.
Passuluna Rosso is a vibrant tribute to Sicily’s passion and vitality, crafted by Cantina Nicosia, one of the island’s most respected family-run wineries. Its name — Passuluna, meaning “moonwalk” in Sicilian dialect — evokes the rhythm of the harvest and the harmony between man, land, and nature. Made primarily from Nero d’Avola and Syrah, two of Sicily’s most expressive grapes, this wine radiates warmth, balance, and unmistakable Mediterranean charm.

Deep ruby red in the glass, Passuluna opens with aromas of wild berries, black cherry, and pomegranate, interwoven with hints of spice, violet, and a touch of earthiness. On the palate, it’s smooth and supple, offering ripe fruit flavours balanced by refreshing acidity and gentle tannins. The finish is long, soft, and full of character — a true expression of Sicilian generosity.

For Irish wine lovers, Passuluna Rosso brings a taste of southern Italy’s sun-drenched vineyards. It’s a versatile red that pairs beautifully with pasta, roasted vegetables, grilled meats, or even casual pizza nights. Easy to love yet full of depth, it’s the kind of wine that makes everyday moments feel a little more special.

Why we love it:
Passuluna Rosso is a bold, sun-drenched red that packs soft, velvety power and vibrant fruit. It showcases the beauty of Sicily—warmth, depth, and unfussy charm—making it a perfect choice for food lovers or anyone craving a sip of the Mediterranean's fiery soul.
