About this product

Chile's signature grape at its finest.
Few grape varieties have become as closely associated with a country as Carménère has with Chile. Once believed to be lost after the vineyards of Bordeaux were devastated by phylloxera in the 19th century, the variety found a new home in Chile, where it has flourished for generations. Sibaris Carménère, produced by the historic Undurraga winery, is a superb expression of this remarkable grape, combining generous dark fruit, silky texture and the distinctive herbal spice that has made Chilean Carménère famous around the world.

Sourced from carefully selected vineyards in Chile's renowned wine-growing valleys, the warm days and cool evenings allow the grapes to achieve full ripeness while preserving freshness and balance. The result is a wine that is rich and expressive without becoming heavy, offering layers of ripe fruit, gentle spice and smooth tannins that make it exceptionally enjoyable from the first glass to the last.

For wine lovers in Ireland, Sibaris Carménère is an excellent introduction to Chile's flagship red grape. It offers outstanding value, remarkable drinkability and enough complexity to satisfy experienced wine enthusiasts while remaining approachable for those discovering Carménère for the first time.

Why we love it:
Sibaris beautifully showcases why Chile has become the spiritual home of Carménère. Produced by Undurraga, one of the country's most historic wineries, it balances ripe black fruit, gentle spice and velvety tannins with remarkable elegance. It's a dependable bottle that consistently delivers premium quality at an accessible price.
