Easy Home Cocktail – Japanese Highball
- 50 ml Akashi Red Blended Whisky
- 100–150 ml chilled soda water
- Ice cubes
- Lemon twist (optional)
Fill a tall glass with large ice cubes and add the whisky. Stir gently to chill before topping with cold soda water. Stir once more with care and garnish with a lemon twist if desired.

About the producer
Akashi Whisky is produced by the White Oak Distillery, owned by the Eigashima Shuzo company, whose history dates back to 1888. Located in the coastal city of Akashi in Hyōgo Prefecture, the distillery was among the first in Japan to receive a whisky production licence. Although whisky production is carried out on a relatively small scale, White Oak has earned an international reputation for its meticulous craftsmanship, blending traditional Japanese precision with carefully selected casks to create elegant, approachable whiskies enjoyed around the world.
