About this product

The Italian Classic with a Touch of Vanilla.
Few drinks capture the spirit of Italian aperitivo quite like Martini Bianco. First introduced in 1910, this elegant white vermouth was given the name Bianchissimo, meaning “the whitest”, inspired by the delicate white flowers of the vanilla plant. More than a century later, it remains one of the world's best-known vermouths.

Crafted around a base of fine Italian white wines, including Trebbiano, Martini Bianco is infused with a carefully selected blend of aromatic herbs, flowers and sweet spices. Vanilla takes centre stage, bringing a soft, rounded sweetness, while citrus and botanical notes add freshness and complexity. A gentle herbal bitterness keeps everything in balance, preventing the sweetness from becoming overwhelming.

Smooth, fragrant and wonderfully versatile, Martini Bianco is made for relaxed aperitivo moments. Enjoy it chilled over ice, lengthened with tonic or soda, or use it as the foundation for a refreshing Spritz. It is a timeless Italian favourite that has found its place in bars and homes across Ireland and well beyond.

Why we love it:
Martini Bianco strikes a lovely balance between approachable sweetness and genuine botanical character. Its soft vanilla notes make it particularly inviting, while the gentle herbal bitterness gives it enough structure to remain refreshing rather than overly sweet. A versatile Italian classic that works beautifully on its own, with tonic or in a whole range of cocktails.

Country of origin

Italy

Colour
Pale golden yellow.

Nose
Delicate vanilla, fragrant herbs and floral notes, with a hint of citrus.

Palate
Smooth and gently sweet, with vanilla and aromatic botanicals balanced by subtle citrus and herbal bitterness, finishing clean and pleasantly bittersweet.

Martini Bianco is traditionally enjoyed as an aperitivo, served chilled over ice with a slice of lemon. For a longer, more refreshing drink, pair it with tonic water or soda in a generous wine glass filled with ice. It also makes an excellent base for a Bianco Spritz, bringing a softer, more aromatic alternative to the familiar Prosecco-based aperitivo.

Easy Home Serve – Martini Bianco & Tonic

  • 50ml Martini Bianco
  • 50ml premium tonic water
  • Plenty of ice
  • 1 slice of lime or lemon
  • Fresh mint (optional)

Fill a large wine glass with ice, pour in the Martini Bianco and top with chilled tonic water. Stir gently and garnish with citrus and a sprig of fresh mint. The tonic adds a refreshing bitterness that complements the vermouth's vanilla sweetness, creating a wonderfully easy-drinking Italian aperitivo.

The Martini story began in 1863 in Turin, when Alessandro Martini, Luigi Rossi and Teofilo Sola joined forces to establish Martini & Rossi. Their combination of winemaking expertise and botanical knowledge helped create a vermouth house that would become synonymous with Italian aperitivo culture. The brand has since grown into an international icon, while continuing to draw on its Piedmontese heritage and generations of expertise in blending wines, herbs and botanicals.
