Intense. Herbal. An explosive Mediterranean spirit.
Amaro Bomba Carta is a bold and captivating herbal liqueur from the windswept coasts of Sardinia, meticulously crafted by Silvio Carta using wild local botanicals and rare strawberry-tree honey. Its name pays homage to its signature “bomb paper” wrapping — a nod to both tradition and the explosive depth of flavour within. Powerful yet refined, this amaro captures the essence of the Mediterranean maquis in liquid form: a rich, aromatic, and persistently bitter spirit with complex herbal layers and a warm, balsamic finish. A standout digestif and an exceptional ingredient in bold cocktails, it’s an amaro that speaks with Sardinian soul and modern confidence.
Why we love it:
An amaro with character—bold, authentic, entirely Sardinian. Bomba Carta delivers herbal intensity, honeyed depth, and a persistent finish that echoes the island’s wild macchia. It’s powerful yet poised—a dramatic digestif that intrigues and endures.

Silvio Carta was established in the early 1950s in Baratili San Pietro, Sardinia, by the now-legendary Silvio Carta. The company began with Vernaccia di Oristano wines, evolving into an eco-conscious distillery under Elio Carta in the 1960s. Today, the third generation continues the legacy—crafting Vernaccia, Sardinian gin, vermouths, liqueurs, grappas, and amari—using local botanicals, discontinued copper distillation, and a deep respect for land and time.
