Condado de Oriza Crianza is made from the Tinta del País (Tempranillo) variety. The grapes are carefully selected from vineyards that are over 20 years old located in the surroundings of Olmedillo de Roa (Burgos).
“Smoky, mineral and tobacco notes surround plum flavors in this fairly straightforward red. The structured tannins are well balanced with the acidity, keeping it fresh and very flexible to combine with different types of food.” Wine Spectator.
Dark ruby red color with subtle orange reflections. On the nose it is complex with cherries, prunes combined with tasty balsamic and spicy notes. These notes are intermingled with mocha, toasted, caramel and smoky flavors, as well as hints of pepper. On the palate, the flavours are reflected on the nose with additional nuances of herbs and leather. The wine has powerful but well-integrated tannins, medium acidity and a long, velvety finish.
A perfect companion for game meat, grilled veal, lamb chops with aromatic herbs and Castilian stews. Serve between 15-16ºC. It is advisable to decant or open the bottle half an hour before serving.
